Strange Fruit é uma canção de denúncia do racismo e os linchamentos de negros nos Estados. A letra refere-se aos estranhos fruitos que as árvores do Sul dão, corpos negros ensanguentados pendurados.

Escrita pelo compositor comunista Abel Meeropol (1903-1986) que a assinou com o seu pseudónimo artístico Lewis Allan foi inicialmente cantada por Billie Holiday (1915-1959) que a celebrizou. Foi depois interpretada por numerosos cantores e bandas como os UB40 e Dee Dee Bridgewater entre outros. Existe uma excelente versão de Nina Simone.
